According to Instructor Rifat Drive Lab (RDL) Andry Berlianto, the foam that embedded inside the helmet has function to dampen the vibration due to collision during an accident.

"When we fall, our heads are exposed to asphalt, and the helmet will serve as the first protector to dampen the vibration earlier," he said at the Jakarta Automotive Super Sale (JOSS), in Jakarta.
