Production permission has been issued, but the certificate of PCX Hybrid type test has not come out yet

Looking at the PCX Hybrid that has been introduced at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2018, it turns out that PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) does not have permission in accordance with the law. And previously also been introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show (TMS) event in Japan last year.

This is mentioned by Production, Engineering, and Procurement Director of AHM David Budiono who said since it was first introduced, and the model which is planned to be produced in the second semester in the country does not yet have the Type Test Certificate (SUT).

SUT is a mandatory requirement for every motorcycle product that will be produced or marketed in Indonesia. If referring to the rules PCX Hybrid can be said not yet legitimate for sale in the country.

Comparing with the previously launched PCX standard, PCX Hybrid is more expensive at least IDR 9 million. PCX Hybid is planned to also be locally produced around 2,000 units, PCX standard is currently sold for IDR 27.7 million and IDR 30.7 million for the ABS version.
