Poplauhin - a graduate of the journalist faculty of the Moscow State University, who studies at the Moscow School of New Cinema, shared second place with Chinese director Shen Dee.

The first prize was given to Chilean cinematographer Diego Kespendes for the cinema
"El Verano del Léon Eléctrico" - "The Summer of the Electric Lion".
