News24xx.com - Vietnam is expected to become the first Go-Jek operation outside of Indonesia. With the evident from the Go-Jek gestures to seduce drivers in that country.

As reported by VnExpress, Tuesday, May 22nd 2018, Go-Jek is rumored to visit Vietnam in this July. The presence of Go-Jek along with Mass Vehicle Ledger (MVL), an online transportation company from Singapore.

The existence of Go-Jek, especially in the Southeast Asian market, will provide fresh air in the competition of online taxi services. Currently Grab has dominated after taking over Uber business in ASEAN on March.

To attract Vietnamese drivers, Go-Jek will not charge commission fee to its partners. And the installation of a vehicle geographic positioning system is also free, that is the next offer from the company that was founded by Nadiem Makarim."It looks like an interesting offer because I currently have to pay a 28% commission for Grab" said Tuan, a Grab Vietnam driver.

Meanwhile, MVL has a different strategy with Go-Jek. The company promised not to pick up any commissions to their drivers. MVL simply asks for profit from data sales resulting from daily operations to insurance companies and consultants.

Since Uber has officially left the Southeast Asian market, Grab has been accused of creating a monopoly, especially in Vietnam. Authorities in the country found that there were signs Grab violated the antitrust law.

The results of the initial investigation found that Grab's market share in Vietnam was recorded to exceed 50%, after that company bought Uber. This is a potential sign that Grab has violated Vietnam's regulation of economic concentration.
