News24xx.com - 6.3 richter scale magnitude earthquake occurred on the west coast of Turkey and between the islands of Lesbos and Chinos in Greece.

The quake tore down some buildings and houses in the village of Vrisa, one of the most affected areas in Greece.

Reported by Reuters on Tuesday, June 13 2017, the most affected area due to the earthquake in the village Vrisa, Greece. One was died and 10 wounded came from the village.


The ruins of the building shut down a number of access roads in the village of Vrisa. The rescuers team were searching for victims amid the rubble of homes and buildings.


A number of citizens took part in that evacuation process, and many of them was lost their family and sad expretion is seen on their faces seeing the impact left by the earthquake for their village.

The wounded were found immediately evacuated by using an ambulance.

The epicenter was known to 5 Km South of Plomari, a city on the island of Lesbos. The quake occurred on Monday, June 12 2017 at around local time at 15.

About 500 villagers took refuge in the Vrisa tents or hotels nearby. Local television reports calling the main road to the city centre on the island, Mytilene to Plomari, damaged by landslides.

Earthquake shocks are felt from Athens to Izmir in Turkey and knock down three churches and several shops in the South of Lesbos. Meanwhile, the rocks that fell also blocked the road.
