During 2018 world cup, Telkomsel data service has been used as much as 6,5 Petabyte for online streaming

News24xx.com - 2018 World Cup which was held in Russia has drawn attention of all around the world. Technological advances, making it easier for people to watch this four-year event, such as via streaming on smartphones.

Until the final match between France vs Croatia, the use of data services for 2018 World Cup channel reached 6.5 Petabyte or equivalent to 6.5 million Gigabye through MAXstream application.

Head of Digital Lifestyle Telkomsel, Crispin Tristram, said that he is very happy because Telkomsel successfully presents a series of 2018 World Cup matches directly to the mobile phone customers. "Until now, we tightened MAXstream has managed to accommodate total time watch (minutes played) for more than two billion minutes" said Crispin through a written statement on Sunday, July 15th 2018.

Telkomsel took note during the World Cup, MAXstream was downloaded more than 4 million times, 99% of whom were active customers using the app to access the 2018 World Cup channels and other channels. During the group stage, teams like France, England, Argentina, Brazil, Germany and Portugal are among the most watched by MAXstream users.

 

While in the autumn phase, the most watched game MAXstream user is the quarterfinal match of the French squad against Uruguay. The game attracted 550,000 users, where the average audience in each match is 500,000 users.

Meanwhile, in the same period, the total number of customers accessing the MAXstream app reached 1.1 million per day with an average access time of 90 minutes.
