Which is better to drink after an exercise chocolate milk or electrolyte drink, this what study says

News24xx.com - Chocolate milk is not just delicious for a drink. Studies say chocolate milk has other benefits, one of them restore physical condition after exercise.

In a recent study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, researchers from Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences, Iran, said chocolate milk is better than electrolyte drinks to consume after exercise.

"Chocolate milk contains carbohydrates, proteins, fats, flavonoids, electrolytes and some vitamins, making it the best choice to drink after exercise" said dr Amin Salehi-Abargouei.

The study was conducted by analyzing 12 other studies. Participants were asked to do running or cycling, then given the option to drink chocolate milk or electrolyte drinks.

After that, participants' recovery rates were assessed by looking at oxygen levels, heart rate, and creatinine kinase levels in their blood.

The results say chocolate milk  makes a person more difficult to feel tired, as well as speed up the recovery of body condition. The effect is even better than sport drinks that contain high electrolytes. "The message from this research is that chocolate milk can be an alternative to a cheap, tasty refreshment drink and everyone likes" he concluded.
