Sleeping after eating can increase the risk for you getting breast or prostate cancer

News24xx.com - Habits of people who eat dinner before going to bed can actually harm their health. In addition to making the stomach become obese, it turns out that habits can relate to cancer.

Quoted from Fox 6, a recent study from the International Journal of Cancer shows that people who eat dinner before 9 pm or 2 hours before bed can reduce the risk of breast and prostate cancer by 20 percent.

"The study was followed by 1,826 people taken from several health clinics across Spain consisting of 621 people affected by prostate cancer and 1,205 exposed to breast cancer" said Dr. Manolis Kogevinas researcher from the Barcelona Institute for Global Health.

The researchers said lifestyles from the average person who followed the study showed less healthy trends such as eating and sleep patterns.

In previous studies also had shown that the work that has a pattern of night work system associated with breast and prostate cancer. "The 2007 World Health Organization International Agency for Research on Cancer categorizes the night work system can damage sleep patterns and can cause diseases such as cancer in the human body" said Dr. Manolis.
