5 Things that can make your shoes look tacky

1.       Too many details

Decorations like gems or jewels may look great on clothes but not on shoe. The fact is that, these kinds of decoration are often used on shoes with low quality. Maybe the decorations will fall off the second time you are wearing them. If you want to wear shoes that seem flashy or “bling-bling” then wear shoes with metallic colors.

2.       Too many colors

Not everything that is colorful is nice to look it, for example, a pair of shoes. Shoes with too many colors will not look bright or luxurious, it will look tacky instead. Shoes that are nice to look at are those with one, two or three colors. More than that will hurt your eyes when you look at it.

3.       Too shiny

Leather shoes with bright color and shiny surface may look nice, but it gets dirty and scratched easier as well. If you still want to wear shiny leather shoes, then pick a neutral color like beige, black or white.

4.       Too high at the heels or platforms

Some women like to wear shoes with platforms or heels that are too high. However, no matter how you look at it, the shoes will look tacky and it is definitely more tiring and painful to wear. If you really want to wear high heels or platform shoes, wear a pair that is not too high.

5.       Too many metals

Spikes, belts and other kinds of metal decorations may look good on shoes. However, designers are sometimes over the top and it makes the shoes look tacky instead of luxurious. One or two metal decorations are enough.
