1. Leave the light on
   Turn off the lights in the room when not in use. This is one way to save electricity. Apart from that, converting your bulb to an LED type that is not only durable but also doesn’t make your electricity bill soar.
2. AC is not maintained
   One of the main causes of increasing electricity bills is poor maintenance of the air conditioner which causes the air filter to become dirty, reduce cold levels and clog.
   If this situation allows, the AC not only cannot function optimally but also has to work more which causes electricity consumption to increase.
   Apart from maintenance, a way to save on your electricity bill is to install the air conditioner at a temperature between 20-24 degrees Celsius.
3. Do not cut off the power
   If you just turned off the television before and didn’t unplug it, then do so. This is because the electric current continues to flow even though it is not being used.
4. Outdated electrical equipment
   Using old electronic equipment is one reason why you have to pay more electricity bills.
   In fact, the old equipment uses more energy than the newest model which is designed with energy-saving features.
5. Leaving electrical equipment in ‘standby’ mode
   If you want to reduce your soaring utility bills, unplug computers, televisions, and other equipment when not in use instead of setting them in ‘standby’ mode.
