4 Indonesian Artists that Have Tripped Over Drug Cases Until Twice

One of Indonesian singer, Ridho Rhoma was arrested on March 25, 2017, for drug abuse. He was arrested by the police with evidence of methamphetamine weighing 0.7 grams and a methamphetamine suction device.

For the first case, Ridho was sentenced to prison for 10 months and rehabilitation for about 6 months. Then, Ridho Rhoma was free after rehabilitation, but his sentence was added to 1.5 years in prison according to the cassation decision.

Then, on Sunday, February 7, 2021, Ridho was arrested by the police again for a drug case. He was arrested by West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Detective Unit investigators at around 04.00 am local time, at the Ibis Hotel in the Daan Mogot area, West Jakarta. It’s become a proof that prison did not deter Ridho Rhoma.

1. Sheila Marcia
   Sheila Marcia was once involved in drug abuse and had to feel the cold of the iron bars. Sheila Marcia was first arrested by the police in 2008.
   A year later, Sheila Marcia was again arrested by the authorities. Like Ridho Rhoma, he must return to prison to be accountable for his actions.
2. Roy Marten
   Roy Marten had a chance to deal with the police over drug possession in 2006 with 3 grams of methamphetamine evidence. After receiving remission, Roy Marten was finally released in October 2006.
   But, a year later, he was arrested by the police for using shabu-shabu. As a result, the actor was imprisoned for 3 years and a fine of IDR 10 million.
3. Reza Artamevia
   Singer Reza was arrested by police on suspicion of drug abuse for the second time, September 4, 2020. She was secured at a restaurant in the Jatinegara area, East Jakarta with evidence in the form of crystal methamphetamine weighing 0.78 grams in his bag. A urine test was conducted and the results were positive for methamphetamine.

Previously, Reza was caught in a drug trafficking case in 2016. At that time, he was arrested together with Gatot Brajamusti at a hotel in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara.

4. Tio Pakusadewo
   Tio Pakusadewo is also known to have been arrested twice for drug abuse. The first arrest by the police was made in 2017.

At that time, evidence was found in the form of crystal meth weighing 0.5 grams. Tio then decided to undergo rehabilitation.

However, in April 2020, he was again arrested with evidence of 18 grams of marijuana along with a suction device or bong. Tio was found guilty and sentenced to one year in prison.
