Regent Siak Alfedri and several related officials attended a video conference on the National Action for Corruption Prevention held by the Corruption Eradication Commission of the Republic of Indonesia and opened by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo.
This activity was led directly by the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission of the Republic of Indonesia, Commissioner General of Police, Firli Bahuri M.Si, and was attended by Ministers of the Advanced Indonesian Cabinet, Governors, Regents and Mayors, and other agencies.
On line, the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo said that efforts to prevent corruption must be carried out on a large scale, and take firm action against perpetrators of criminal acts of corruption indiscriminately.
He said that the situation of the health crisis and the economic crisis due to COVID-19 was the right moment to improve comprehensively.
Although it was not easy, President Jokowi said that this was a challenge that had to be solved. “We must formulate and take concrete steps that are consistent from time to time,” said Jokowi.
Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission, Firli bahuri, said that the achievement of the National Corruption Prevention Strategy nationally had reached 58.52 persen.
His party is very concerned about President Jokowi’s program. Such as human resource development, infrastructure development, simplification of regulations, simplification of the bureaucracy, and economic transformation.
Of these programs, Firli said five areas are the focus of the Corruption Eradication Commission. Namely, eradicating corruption related to business and commerce, corruption related to law enforcement and bureaucratic reform, corruption related to politics, corruption related to public services, and corruption related to natural resources.
Sementara itu, Siak Regent Alfedri conveyed that the National Corruption Prevention Action which was held by the Corruption Eradication Commission together with regional heads throughout Indonesia was aimed at strengthening corruption prevention measures in government agencies.
Ucap Alfedri, President Jokowi conveyed three major agendas, yaitu, pertama, reforming national regulations such as overlapping regulations, regulations that do not provide legal certainty, regulations that provide complicated procedures, to regulations that discourage officials and bureaucracy from carrying out execution and innovation.
