TikTok is one of 59 apps banned by the Indian government.
With the intention of saving Indians grieving over the banning of this Chinese app, Ashish, an engineering student from Kottayam district in Kerala, India, developed a TikTok-like sharing platform.
The application is called ‘Tik Tik – Made in India’.
Faktanya, the application is currently a trending application on the Google India Playstore.
A Facebook user @ pratibhagupta commented: “I am very happy with this application and it is really cool to use.” Google Playstore has more than 250 thousand reviews.
This app was launched immediately after the ban and has been downloaded 30,000 waktu.
Ashish is a third-year Information Technology (IT) student at the University College of Engineering, Kariyavattom in the Thiruvananthapuram district in Kerala.
Speaking with a local news source, Ashish said: “I have previously uploaded an application under the name BlogsApp.
After TikTok was banned, I changed the name and relaunched the app as ‘Tik Tik’.
I named the app ‘Tik Tik’ so people could easily register their names.
TikTok has a one minute limit for uploading videos. With Tik Tik, you can record videos of any duration, “dia berkata.
Kabarnya, the popular TikTok duet segment is not available on Tik Tik.
With the number of users increasing every day, Ashish is now upgrading its servers to handle the traffic.
Another Facebook user @ Ravikrishna123 commented: “Best app and easy to use.”
Apart from Tik-Tik, Ashish is also developing an application called ‘Plugsup’ for internal communication purposes for his campus and another application called ‘Prime Restaurant’, which can be used by restaurants to communicate with their staff.
Menariknya, he has also designed a new social media platform which he thinks will do well in the near future.
