Regent of Indragiri Hilir (INHIL), HM Wardan chaired the Covid-19 Handling Task Force coordination meeting.
This meeting discussed the preparation for the implementation of Small-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBK) in INHIL Regency, Senin (14/9/2020) sore.
The plan to implement this small-scale social restriction was put forward after seeing an increase in the COVID-19 transmission curve in INHIL recently.
Tambahan, the meeting which was also attended by all elements of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum or Forkopimda Inhil Regency was also a follow-up form of the Riau Governor’s circular on Small-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBK).
Menurut Bupati, the circular that was sent contained a request for the INHIL Regency Government (Pemkab) together with the Covid-19 Handling Task Force to conduct a joint study related to technical implementation procedures and steps in implementing PSBK.
“The INHIL Covid-19 Task Force will immediately coordinate with the Provincial Task Force to get technical instructions and what preparations should we do before the PSBK is implemented in INHIL,” said the Regent in a coordination meeting in Tembilahan.
The emergence of a new COVID-19 cluster in INHIL is a particular concern, not only for the local government but also for the community.
Untuk alasan ini, the socialization of regulations, such as the COVID-19 health protocol and the dangers of COVID-19 as an effort to educate the public, needs to be improved so that people can be more obedient to these policies.
“I hope the draft of the PERBUP will be completed soon so that the efforts of the disciplinary team can be maximized and serve as a guide in imposing sanctions on the public and business actors who do not apply health protocols,” continued the Regent.
Pada kesempatan ini, the Regent also talked about his experience of seeing directly the disobedience of the community in implementing the Covid-19 health protocol, for example in the use of masks.
Dia berkata, there were still many people outside Tembilahan and Tembilahan Hulu Districts who had not implemented the Covid-19 health protocol.
“Kemarin, there was a village that I directly visit, on market days there were a lot of people who came but many visitors did not wear masks,” kata Bupati.
