After five passengers that transiting in Malaysia from India tested positive for Covid-19 makes the government of Hong Kong has banned Cathay Dragon flights from Kuala Lumpur, until October 3, 2020. The flight KA734 from Kuala Lumpur to Hong Kong carried five passengers who had the virus.
Sebagai informasi, the Cathay Dragon flights from Kuala Lumpur are a key route for thousands of Indian citizens who have been trying to return to Hong Kong after being stranded abroad for many months.
According to Bangkok Post, the Civil Aviation Department directive suspend passenger services between Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong until Oct. 3, and adding that passengers affected by this move would get a refund or alternative travel arrangements.
Known that the five passengers had flown to Malaysia from India on an Air India Express service before connecting to Cathay Dragon.
Cathay has sent the affected aircraft for deep cleaning while people who came into close contact with the infected passengers on board are being tracked down.
