Punti Kayu is a park or tourist forest which is a place for family recreation in Palembang, Sumatera Selatan.
Punti Kayu Nature Park is located in Palembang City, precisely on Jalan Kol H Burlian Km 6.5 Palembang.
Untuk waktu yang lama, Punti Kayu Nature Park was known to have developed into a pine forest. The area was deliberately planted by the Dutch colonial government in 1937.
Mulanya, the area of land developed reached 98 hektar, sekarang 50 hectares remain. Before Punti Kayu, this natural tourism park was called Taman Sari and Syailendra.
Punti Kayu Forest is the only forest tourism location in Palembang City. The forest, which has an area of 12 hectares, is the lungs of the city, where plants are dominated by pine plants.
Punti Kayu Tourism Forest upholds its function as a place of conservation, a place for tourism and recreation, a place for research and education, to a place to support cultural activities.
Based on the survey and inventory in 2008, the Punti Kayu Tourism Forest area has various types of flora and fauna.

To get to this recreation area if from the city center at the Great Mosque of Palembang the route is straight to Sudirman street to KM 7.
And if you take public transportation, from the Grand Mosque you can take public transportation to KM5. Setelah itu, get off and take public transportation to Talang Betutu again, but before that, it stopped in front of Punti Kayu.
There is alternative public transportation, namely Trans Musi, boarding from the Grand Mosque stop.
Punti Kayu is open from 9 am-4pm.
