BTS accused of plagiarized the works of French photographer, Bernard Faucon

News24xx.com - French photographer, Bernad Faucon claimed that some of the pictures in BTS phot album, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, and some clips of MV Blood, Sweet & Tears released in 2016, were taken from his works.

According to Faucon, some photos and concept from the MV look so much like his work, the Summer Camp series, which were released in 1978, including The Banquet. The clothes, the background, and some elements are so similar. The photographer also said the their album’s title, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life was taken from his film project in 1997-2003, titled The Most Beautiful Day of My Youth.

In August and September 2018, Faucon sent two statements to Big Hit Entertainment. He demanded apology and compensation based on negotiation but the agency denied the claim. But Faucon sent another written statement in October, asking the agency to at least claim that their ideas were inspired from his work.

After so many rumors and gossips surrounding the plagiarism case, Big Hit Entertainment finally give comment. They said that the allegation from Bernard Fuacon is not true.

“After checking on the report made today, we say that the similarity claim that was issued by a gallery in September is not valid,” they said.

Despite the denial, Faucon still persists. He plans to have a press conference in April to talk about this problem regarding BTS.
