Winning the scudetto for the 8th times in a row, Juventus carved a new world record


IllustrationIllustration - Juventus ensured its 8th scudetto in a row after beating Fiorentina. The Bianconeri set new record in Europe. Juventus locked the title of Italian league championship 2018/2019 in Week 33, against Fiorentina at Allianz Stadium on Saturday, April 20th 2019. The victory made Juventus collect 87 points from 33 matches, 20 points ahead of Napoli. This achievement makes Juventus set a new world record. They become the first team to be able to win the league title for eight times in a row, in the top five European leagues (Italy, France, England, Spain, Germany). La Vecchia Signora broke his own record, to set new record in Europe.

The previous record, there are two teams, Lyon who have won seven consecutive times since the 2001/2002 season until 2007/2008 and Juventus did it in 2011/2012 until 2017/2018.
