Instead of getting more energy, choosing the wrong food can make the body full. When exercising, the body's muscles need a lot of blood to pump. Therefore, blood flow to the abdominal area will be limited.

For that, if you want to maintain energy properly during exercise, consume carbohydrate and protein intake while limiting fat intake. Quoted from Asia One, on April 13th 2019, the best foods to consume before exercising are eggs, yogurt, sweet potatoes, cheese, a piece of toast with peanut butter, fresh fruits to fruit smoothies/yogurt.

If you want practical food, apples and bananas are the right choice. First, bananas are very easy to digest as well as being the source of natural sugar, simple carbohydrates and potassium. In addition, bananas are also rich in magnesium which can help us to overcome muscle cramps, reduce stress levels, and eliminate drowsiness.

Then what foods should be avoided before exercising? The answer, foods such as salads and nuts, legumes, cross vegetables such as broccoli, bok choy, cabbage, cauliflower, green vegetables, and others. All of those foods are difficult to digest by the body so that it can interfere with the exercise process, which then make the stomach feel full when we are exercising.
