Barcelona came to Anfield on Wednesday, May 8th 2019 in the second leg of Champions League semi-final with a 3-0 lead in the first leg. Their lead was erased by Liverpool after scoring 4 goals.

Divock Origi opened hopes for Liverpool with a quick goal in the seventh minute, and there was no more goal for the rest of the first half. Then on the second half, Georginio Wijnaldum equalized their aggregate with Barcelona thanks to his two goals in the 54th and 56th minutes. Origi then turned things around for Liverpool with his goal in the 79th minute.

With those 4 goals, Liverpool managed to defeat Barcelona and pass to the final of Champions League with a 4-3 aggregate. While Liverpool delighted, Barcelona faced a catastrophe. It is ghosted by the memory of a comeback which last season happened to them when they against AS Roma. Last season Los Cules also wasted its three-goal advantage and eliminated in the quarterfinals.

Facing AS Roma, Barcelona won 4-1 at Camp Nou. But Roma brilliantly won three goals without reply at the Olimpico and passed to the final with an away goal advantage. For Liverpool, this is the second final of Champions League in a row. After last season, they beaten badly by Real Madrid in the final, 'The Red' now has the new chance to get the most prestigious title in Europe.
