Real Madrid failed to be the runner-up of La Liga after losing 1-3 against Real Sociedad


IllustrationIllustration - Real Madrid failed to be the runner-up in the Spanish League this season. That happened after they lost 3-1 against Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid's drew. Came to Anoeta on Monday, May 13th 2019 morning, Madrid lost 3-1 against Sociedad.

Los Blancos even managed to lead 1-0 first in the sixth minute through Brahim Diaz’s goal. Sociedad then managed to equalize the score to 1-1 through Mikel Merino’s goal in the 26th minute. In the 39th minute Madrid had to play with 10 players after Jesus Vallejo was given a straight red card.

La Liga only leaves one more week, and Madrid will not be able to get the 7 points deficit to pass Atletico. "I am happy with the start of the match, we started well and scored first, and then the game turned to nightmare, very embarrassing because we played well and had opportunities" said Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane, quoted from the club's official website.
