News24xx.com - For those who have difficulty communicating because of a speech disorder. Google is developing a study called Project Euphonia, where one can communicate with the help of a smartphone. At Project Euphonia, Google researchers use artificial intelligence (AI) to explore how the technology can recognize different types of speech patterns from people who experience communication difficulties in general.

This speech disorder is caused by neurological conditions, such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's, or Amytotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) which had suffered by Stephen Hawking for decades.

"Researchers from Google AI are exploring the idea of ??a personalized communication model that can better understand different types of talks, and how AI can help those who cannot speak to communicate. We call it Project Euphonia " Google CEO Sundar Pichai said on Google I / O 2019.

Pichai revealed that his side continues to provide voice recognition through the Google Assistant in the future. But now, Google needs more samples of talks to train this technology. "This is a perfect example of what we do by making Google to be more beneficial to everyone. One of the most powerful ways, we provide assistances our users through our open source Android platform" he concluded.
