Statement of board member in Texas that said that vaccine is a magic stirred controversy online

Jonathan SticklandJonathan Stickland - Cases of rejection of vaccines are increasing significantly, making many diseases that should have been disappeared, attacking the people again. The World Health Organization (WHO) even calls the phenomenon of vaccine rejection as a global threat in 2019.

Related to this, there is a debate that went viral between a board member in Texas, United States, and several expert figures on Twitter. Republican Jonathan Stickland calls the vaccine as the magic that must be kept away from children.

It began when Professor Peter Hotez from Baylor College of Medicine tweeted that policy makers would do something to reduce the number of children who were not vaccinated. "Texas children have been placed in a position of danger only for the financial benefit of outside interest groups. I call our chosen leaders to say 'NOT AGAIN' and start defending our children" Peter wrote.

The tweet was responded to by Jonathan who accused scientists like Peter being paid to promote vaccines to reap profits. Jonathan also mentions that this is the realm of God's power. "Stop using the hands of the government to make your business profitable through mandate vaccination. It's disgusting" Jonathan wrote and quoted from CNN on Friday, May 10th 2019.
