This seminar invited Riau humanist Griven H. Putera.

According to the head of the committee, Rozi Oktasyahendra, this year, Riau Province received a budget for PMMD program that is allocated to Kampar and Pelalawan Regencies for 50 villages. This activity consists of five areas, which are pioneering, entrepreneurship, village program aiding, sports and local wisdom.

“This seminar is mainly to implement the program of PMMD as well as to reintroduce Tenas Effency to the civilians, especially the youths. Many of the youths do not know who Tenas Effendy is, what he had, and what he had done. So this activity is mainly to get to know the famous Malay humanist’s contribution in the local wisdom,” he said.

PMMD is a program from Ministry of Youth and Sports that was released in 2017. It was meant to build good characters in Indonesian youths.
