Thirteen Death Officers Attacked by Armed Men in Mexico


Photo : InternetPhoto : Internet - More than 30 suspected drug cartel gunmen in Mexico are awaiting police decisions Monday (October 14, 2019).

The commander sent 42 officers in five trucks.

Officials said the gunmen ambushed a police convoy with 50 caliber sniper rifles and AR-15 and AK-47 assault rifles.

Thirteen officers were killed, some of them still in the patrol truck when the vehicle was set on fire. Nine other officers were injured.

The police convoy was attacked while on duty to enforce a trial in a house in El Aguaje, a town in the municipality of Aguililla.

After the attack, the area called "hot land" in western Mexico was strengthened by federal and state security forces. They set up checkpoints to hunt down the attackers.
