Releasing Riau Football Team to Bengkulu Regional Office, This is the Message of KONI Chairman Emrizal

News24xx.com - The Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Riau officially released the Riau soccer team to take part in the 2019 Regional Sports Camp which took place in Bengkulu.

Chairman of KONI Riau, Emrizal Pakis appealed to 20 Riau soccer team players to be able to perform optimally at the 2019 Regional Sports Camp in Bengkulu.

"Even though they come from various clubs and regions in Riau, when competing, keep the team together, don't look at where we come from," Emrizal said, Monday, October 21, 2019.

Emrizal continued, in terms of physical and ability, he believes the Riau soccer team can perform well and achieve the results expected at the Regional Office which will be held starting November 3, 2019.

"We are sure, of the 9 provinces that will become opponents in the Regional Sports Council of football sports, the Riau team is far superior, both in terms of physical and abilities," Emrizal said speaking with Riau1.com after the release of the athlete.

"Because, almost all of our players are from well-known football clubs, such as PSPS Riau, PSMS Medan, Persika Karawang and also local clubs like PS UIR, Tornado FC and Pelalawan United," he continued.
 
Meanwhile, Head Coach of the Riau soccer team, Miskardi revealed, the players have their own targets, namely to qualify for the PON and compete in Papua in 2020.

"They (players) have never been to Papua, so all have the determination to be able to perform optimally at the Regional Office and compete at PON Papua 2020," he concluded.
