Gaining the Informative Public Body, Regent Inhil Instructs All OPD to Publicize Work Results

Regent of Indragiri Hilir Regency (Inhil), HM Wardan received the 2019 Riau Commission Information Award (KI) , last Thursday, November 28, 2019.

The award was given after the Inhil District Government was considered competent as a public agency in the category of Informative Enough by KI of Riau Province.

Inhil Regent, HM Wardan said he was grateful for the gift of Riau KI and hoped it would be a motivation to increase information disclosure, especially in terms of public services.

"This is a driving force to further increase the transparency of public information in the context of disseminating information to the public," he said.

According to the Regent, not all regencies / cities have won quite prestigious annual awards from the Riau Province Information Commission so that the Inhil Regency Government will continue to strive to continue to improve achievement in accordance with Law No. 14 of 2008 concerning Openness of Public Information.

"To all DPOs in the Inhil Regency Government and other public bodies to work together to carry out the task. Disseminate the task so that the results carried out can be known to the public," requested the Regent.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Riau Province Information Commission (KI), Zufra Irwan who handed the 2019 Riau KI Award directly to the Inhil Regent, revealed a number of aspects of the Inhil District Government's positive evaluation so that they were able to win the award.

He explained, several criteria as award winners had been met by the Inhil District Government such as public information management, the main PPID, service systems as well as adequate human resources and infrastructure.

"The only drawback lies in the assistant PPID who are in the agency or OPD, it is necessary to increase the quality and quantity again so that they can comply in filling out the list of public information," said Zufra Irwan.

In addition to the Inhil District Government, the Rokan Hulu Regency Government and Pekanbaru City Government also won the 2019 Riau KI Award with the title "Informative Enough".
