Covid-19 Plague, Zulkifli Hasan Asks Jabodetabek to be Quarantined

News24xx.com - Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Zulkifli Hasan called on the central government to immediately quarantine Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Greater Jakarta).

According to him, quarantine is needed to break the chain of corona virus outbreaks (Covid-19). He conveyed his request after providing assistance from the DPP and DPW PAN of DKI for East Jakarta residents quoted from rmol.id, Sunday, March 29, 2020.

"Because there is Law 6/2018 that the central government has the authority to determine the status of the quarantine area, for that reason, immediately apply the area quarantine as a joint effort to maintain the health and safety of all citizens," he pleaded.

While health facilities, medical devices, personal protective equipment, and medical personnel are reportedly in limited numbers. For this reason quarantine needs to be done.

If the request is granted, the need for food stock and distribution must be guaranteed. Meanwhile, to maintain the discipline of citizens, the police and army need to conduct regular patrols.
