News24xx.com - A pair of grandparents died while holding hands. They were declared dead after positively suffering from the coronavirus from a cruise ship.

A live-streaming funeral for Jerry Austin Williamson and his wife, Frances Jewel Bond Williamson, was held on Monday in Long Beach, Mississippi after the couple died of a virus last week.

During the virtual ministry, the priest said Jerry and Frances, both 72 years old after spending 50 years married together.

Reporting from The Sun Herald, the couple died after contracting the virus from a cruise ship. They loved traveling on cruise ships and did not realize how dangerous the virus was at the time.

Frances and Jerry left two children, Delora Williamson Ingerson and Jerry Williamson II, and other relatives. During their funeral, a US flag was spread over Jerry Williamson's coffin to honor his old service to the Navy, where he was employed until he retired as a public works overseer in Gulfport.

Frances reportedly works as a phlebotomist, who is a health worker who specializes in drawing blood from patients.
