Despite the widespread growth of Covid-19 in various countries, this diligent 10-year-old boy still insisted on driving his becak to sell vegetables every day to support his family.

The boy's name is Dong. He is from Songkhla, Thailand. According to Sin Chew Daily, Dong sells vegetables to support his family consisting of a 56-year-old grandmother, an 89-year-old great-grandmother and a 96-year-old great-great-great-great-grandfather.

After his grandmother planted vegetables, Dong rode his tricycle and sold the produce to support his grandparents. But this is not new for Dong. The child is reported to have started selling vegetables since he was still in first grade.

Unfortunately because of the pandemic, the poor boy had to struggle more to make money. Especially after Thailand announced it would extend the closure nationally until the end of May.

Even so, the hardworking boy refused to stop. Even with fewer pedestrians on the streets and business plummeting, Dong insisted on selling his vegetables wherever he could make ends meet.

When the Thai Prime Minister heard Dong's story, he immediately contacted the local government to offer help. Since then, Songkhla officials have arranged for life supplies to be sent to the Don family with full assurance that the family will be provided until the end of this frightening epidemic.
