The 53-year-old boxer who retired 15 years ago Mike Tyson took advantage of the lockdown period with his gloves and trained with MMA coach Rafael Cordeiro.

The former heavyweight champion was apparently planning to return to the boxing arena again. However, there has been no official announcement about the potential opponent or the time of his return.

Speaking with IT on Instagram earlier this month, Tyson detailed his new training regime.

‘I have been exercising, I have tried to get into the ring, I think I will box some exhibits and get a fit body shape. ‘I want to go to the gym and get into shape to be able to tinker with exhibits of three or four rounds for some charity and other activities.

‘I do cardio for two hours, I do bicycle and treadmill for an hour, then I do light weights, 300, 250 reps. ‘Then I started my day with boxing, I went in there and hit mitts, 30 minutes, 25 minutes, started to get in better condition.‘ I started to unite the combinations. I'm in pain, I feel like three people kicked my ass.

Frank Warren dismissed speculation in the Metro.co.uk column this week but Cordeiro said Tyson was open to all battles.

"All I can say is that if he wants to do something in the future, he will be 100 percent ready for that," Cordeiro said in an interview with ESPN.
