For second time, RAPP Company Distributes Aid for Covid-19 Handling in Siak Regency

News24xx.com -  PT Riau Pulp and Paper (RAPP) showed its concern for the handling of Covid-19 in Siak Regency by provided assistance in the form of staples for people who are in the operational area of ??PT RAPP.

"Today we are delivering aid in the form of staples in Sungai Apit District, which will be distributed in two villages, namely Rawa Mekar Jaya Village and Penyengat Village," Syamsurial said.

In addition to the two villages in Sungai Apit Subdistrict, RAPP also handed over 1.219 packages that consisting of 5 kilogram of rice, 1 liter of cooking oil and one box of instant noodles for 24 villages in 5 other districts, ie Kerinci Kanan, Lubuk Dalam, Koto Gasib , Dayun and Mandau River.

"We hope with our assistance, it can help the communities, especially in the current situation of the Covid-19 pandemic," said the Public Relations Manager of PT RAPP.

In his remarks, the Regent of Siak Alfedri expressed his gratitude for the assistance that given by RAPP for the people affected by Covid-19 in Siak Regency.

"On behalf of the Government of Siak Regency, we thank you for the care of RAPP for the condition of the Siak District people affected by Covid-19, especially in Sungai Apit District," said Alfedri.

Alfedri also said,  RAPP had also provided assistance in the form of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical personnel at Tengku Rafi'an Regional Hospital.

Alfedri also invited all Siak Regency people, especially the Sungai Apit District community, to be disciplined in implementing health protocols to break the chain of distribution of Covid-19 in Siak Regency.

"If our society is not disciplined, such as maintaining personal hygiene and the environment, keeping a distance from others, not touching, not leaving the house and wearing a mask, how the Covid-19 cases in Siak Regency can be resolved quickly ?", he explained.

Therefore, to break the chain of distribution of Covid-19 in Siak Regency, the community and other parties must participate and commit to jointly break the chain of distribution of Covid-19 in Siak Regency.

To break the chain of distribution of covid-19 in Siak Regency, the Siak Regional Government has also implemented of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in all the Districts in Siak, starting from May 15 up to May 28 2020.
