A man was stabbed to death outside a Bronx building

News24xx.com - A man was stabbed to death outside a Bronx building where a woman was critically injured hours earlier when she fell from a fire escape during a drug deal gone bad, cops said Monday.

The 37-year-old stabbing victim, who first responders at first thought had been shot, was knifed multiple outside the building on 196th St. and Marion Ave. in Fordham Heights about 9:50 p.m. Sunday, cops said.

Medics rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he died.

A 29-year-old male was taken into custody at the scene. Charges were pending against him, cops said.

Earlier Sunday, a woman trying to climb through a window to get into a man’s apartment fell from the fire escape after what police sources described as a drug deal gone wrong.

The 35-year-old woman was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition after the 3:15 p.m. incident.

Police questioned the man living inside the apartment to help determine the circumstances surrounding the woman’s fall.

Cops said Monday that there does not seem to be any connection between the stabbing and the woman’s fall.
