With More Than 98,000 Deaths, the American Continent has Officially Become the New Epicenter of the Coronavirus

News24xx.com - The World Health Organization (WHO) considers the American continent to be the new epicenter of the Coronavirus pandemic. WHO says this is not the time for countries to reduce restrictions.

Reporting from Reuters on Tuesday (26 May 2020), WHO Director for America and the Head of the Pan American Health Organization, Carissa Etienne, in a video conference said the outbreak of the Coronavirus is increasing in American countries, such as Brazil. The number of deaths from the Coronavirus in the country reported in the past week is the highest in the world since the pandemic began.

Quoted from AFP, according to official sources, as of Tuesday (26 May) Coronavirus has killed at least 346,296 people worldwide since it appeared in China late last year.

The United States is the country with the highest case of death, at 98,223 people. While below that number, recorded the country of England with 36,914 cases of death.
