News24xx.com -  A baby has been seriously injured after falling from a fourth storey flat window. The infant is believed to be around one-years-old.  But she is in a stable condition after the incident on Station Road in Rainham yesterday afternoon. 

Emergency services were called to the scene where a large cordon was erected by police. An air ambulance was called and the child was taken to a London hospital for further treatment.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called at 1.23pm on Monday 25 May to a report a child had fallen from a window in Station Road, Rainham. Officers attended alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex and the injured child was taken to a London hospital for treatment to serious injuries. They remain at the hospital in a stable condition."

There have been no arrests and enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.
