News24xx.com - Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) Government has tightened supervision of entry access for migrants from West Sumatra Province (West Sumatra).

Spokesperson of the Kuansing Covid-19 Task Force, Dr. Agusmandar revealed, many migrants entered Riau from Kuansing Regency through a number of alternative roads.

"Many travel drivers and people who cross into West Sumatra and vice versa, looking for alternative roads," said Agusmandar, Wednesday, May 27, 2020.

"One alternative route is through the SP 5 Kenagarian Padang Lawas Village, Dharmasraya Regency to Perhentian Sungkai Village, Pucuk Rantau District, Kuansing," he said.

To prevent the spread of the corona virus or Covid-19 from outside Riau Province, particularly from West Sumatra, Agusmandar said, the Kuansing Regency Government tightened its security at the border.

"To anticipate the spread of Covid-19 from outside the region, especially West Sumatra which is a red zone. The regent ordered to tighten security in Poskowas Perhentian Sungkai," he said.

"The regent also appealed to the community to limit interactions in and out. If it is not too important it should not come out, because we are worried that our neighboring area is a red zone," he concluded.
