Medical Personnel Reported To Use PPE Not In Accordance With Standards, Covid-19 Special Committee for Bengkalis DPRD Asks to Check Back

News24xx.com - Word got out, the medical personnel who handled the Covid-19 case in Bengkalis District received personal protective equipment (PPE) that was not up to standard.

In response, Deputy Chairperson of the Bengkalis Covid-19 Special Committee, Adri asked Bengkalis Covid-19 Task Force Team to check again.

"It is expected that Diskes re-checks the PPE used. Because, the cluster team as the front guard, must really be able to serve with established standards," said Adri, Wednesday May 27, 2020.

"Regarding APD findings that are not in accordance with the standards that were raised in the public, as a special committee spokesperson I need to address more details, so that this does not become a polemic in the midst of the Covid-19 outbreak," he said.

Adri revealed, his party was very understanding if the PPE obtained, came from various sources, there was help from companies, individuals, organizations and also from Diskes.

"But wherever the source is, the medical team as the vanguard who understands APD standards, is expected to check before the APD is used in dealing with Covid-19 patients," he said.

"We from the Special Committee do not want any fraud in handling Covid-19, which seems to use PPE, but it is not standard, thus endangering users," he concluded.
