Tragic, a beauty queen mysteriously found dead in her apartment

News24xx.com - 23-year-old, Amber Lee Friis, New Zealand Finalist at Miss Universe 2018, was found dead at her home as reported by the official account of Miss World New Zealand. So far beauty queen’s cause of death has not been revealed. Amber, an Auckland native, competed as a finalist during 2018 Miss Universe New Zealand pageant, according to her Facebook page.

"It is with immense sadness we acknowledge the sudden passing of a beautiful and talented Amber-lee Friis,” Talent Tree wrote in a Facebook statement. The young lady’s agents at the Talent Tree said were “devastated” by their loss.

The president of Miss World New Zealand Organization, Nigel Godfrey, confirmed Friis' passing in a Facebook tribute post, “The world is a lesser place without her in it," Nigel wrote. "She had a great deal more to give and it is a dreadful tragedy that she won't be here to realize her unlimited potential. RIP Amber Lee you have left us far, far too soon.”

No more details on her cause of death were available, but the police department said they have referred the death to a coroner. No suicide note was found in the apartment, further investigations were underway.

Her 18th Birthday was a turning point, as she decided to set goals, save money and work out. But eventually, she was contacted by Miss Universe New Zealand pageant and later became one of 20 finalists to compete for the crown. Beauty queen wanted to help young girls see their potential and set up a life-plan to achieve it. She was hoping to become a positive role model for other girls growing up in poverty.
