The former Minneapolis Police Officer who pressed George Floyd's neck to death, was finally charged with murder

When protests against the death of George Floyd at the hands of a police officer continued to spread throughout the state in the United States, the perpetrator was eventually thrown into custody.

The former Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, was caught on camera kneeling on the neck of 46-year-old George Floyd on the pavement .

According to Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman, Chauvin is currently charged with third-degree murder and second-degree murder. According to the Prosecutor, Chauvin acted with "a corrupt mind, without regard to human life."

Chauvin was not the only one facing punishment by the Minneapolis Police because three other officers involved in the incident were also fired from the police.
