News24xx.com -  A Pennsylvania woman was arrested for allegedly concealing her grandmother’s body in a basement freezer, reported Harrisburg, Pa.

Cynthia Black was charged with abuse of a corpse, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property after she claimed to have pocketed the dead relative’s Security checks over an astounding 15-year period.

The 61-year-old suspect stated that she found her grandmother dead at the age of 97 inside her Ardmore home in 2004. Three years later, Black moved the freezer crypt to a new home in Dillsburg, Pa., reported The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Cops claim they got a tip as far back as February 2019 about the dead woman, identified as Glenora Delahay, who was born in 1906.

According to a report, Delahay’s corpse was discovered by two women interested in buying Black’s home, which reportedly had been foreclosed. They claimed they were browsing in an outbuilding when they noticed the human remains wrapped in trash bags and concealed under blankets in a chest freezer, according to WHTM.

DNA testing confirmed Delahay’s identity.

Cynthia Black, 61, was taken into custody on Wednesday and later related on an unsecured $50,000 bail, according to CNN. She has a preliminary hearing scheduled for June 10.
