News24xx.com - The Education Office (Disdik) requires students to wash their hands before entering class in the new school year starting July 13. Schools are also sprayed with disinfectant twice a week.

"We have prepared things related to New Normal. We have ordered schools to prepare various matters relating to health protocols," Pekanbaru Head of Education Office Abdul Jamal said on Monday (1/6/2020).

First, students are required to wear masks. Before entering the school area, students are asked to wash their hands.

"After that, their body temperature is measured. This (body temperature measuring device) we prepared," said Jamal.

In the classroom, student participation is arranged at least one meter. Under normal conditions, one local is usually 40 people.

"In this condition, it is not possible. So, only 20 local people are filled," said Jamal.

Disinfectant liquid is also prepared by Pekanbaru Disdik. So, each school will be sprayed with disinfectant 2 times a week. Hand sanitizers are also prepared.

"Regarding students' hours of entry, we can slow down and return home," said Jamal.

As is known, Disdik Pekanbaru has received a letter from the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) regarding the extension of the study period at home.
