News24xx.com - The judges of the Jakarta Administrative District Court (PTUN) represented by Chief Judge Nelvy Christin, Wednesday, June 3, 2020 decided that Indonesian President Joko Widodo and the Minister of Communication and Information were guilty of blocking the internet in Papua and West Papua in 2019.

This decision was uploaded directly by the plaintiff's attorney, Muhammad Isnur through his twitter account, @madisnur.

"To declare that the actions of the government committed by defendants 1 and 2 are illegal," the judge said.

According to the judge, the Internet is neutral. However, if there is content that violates the law it should be restricted to that content. So internat can be used for positive or negative things.

To note that defendant 1 is the Minister of Communication and Information. Whereas defendant 2 is President Jokowi.

The judges sentenced defendants 1 and 2 to pay the court fee of Rp. 457,000.

On a different occasion, Isnur congratulated all those who had fought. Including the people of Papua.

"Congratulations to all colleagues. Congratulations to the people of Papua, fighters for human rights, to academics who have put their bodies up and advanced. Also to PTUN who have carried out their obligations very well. Let us guard further if there is an appeal," he concluded.
