Pekanbaru Secretary of State Orders All Public Services Open When New Normal, Flexible Working Pattern

News24xx.com - All public services in Pekanbaru City Government reopened when New Normal or a new life order in the midst of the corona virus pandemic. Each agency is permitted to apply work patterns that are flexible towards its employees.

"We have just finished doing a web seminar using the zoom application with officials of the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan RB) and important figures, including the mayor of Surakarta and the regent of Banyuwangi. The web seminar was attended by nearly 100 participants," said the City Regional Secretary ( Sekdako) Pekanbaru M Noer in the 3rd floor meeting room of the Public Service Mall (MPP), Wednesday (6/4/2020).

The conclusion of the meeting was that public services should not be disrupted in the New Normal era. Local governments must develop breakthroughs.

In the New Normal era, there was no idealistic public service. Local governments must observe, copy, and modify.

"We must not idealize ourselves. We must innovate. So all public services must be opened when New Normal," said M. Noer.

It is hoped that conventional public services can innovate so that the economy does not run in place. Local governments with their respective resources are preparing to undergo this New Normal.

"Implementation is in accordance with the readiness of each region. Corona virus pandemic is a valuable lesson that should be used as momentum to innovate towards digital service and realize the vision of service reform," explained M. Noer.

Synergy of public service policies between the central and regional governments is needed. The point of this web seminar is to carry out public services in the new normal life, including flexible work patterns.

"Work from home is flexibility in providing services," said M Noer.
