Cruel, two Queens boy was killed by their own mother

News24xx.com - A 2-year-old Queens boy cops believe was slain by his own mother was found dead with a bag over his head while his 10-year-old brother was discovered dead with his hands bound behind his back, police sources said Wednesday.

The chilling new details still don’t explain why Carmen Siguencia, 30, did the unthinkable, killed her sons before hanging herself inside their home on 111th St. near 37th Ave. in Corona.

Their bodies were discovered Sunday morning. The city Medical Examiner will determine the boys’ exact cause of death but detectives are investigating the incident as a double murder-suicide.Siguencia, whom relatives referred to as Rocio, was found hanged in a closet. Her younger son, Aiden Lopez, was found in the bedroom, a bag over his head, while his brother, John Lopez, was discovered in the bathroom. His hands were bound behind his back, sources said.

Gloria Calle, a cousin of the mom, had plans to meet her Sunday after speaking to her the day before.

“Today we were going to bring the kids to the park to play," Calle said on Sunday. "That’s what she said. And I was waiting for her to call me that she was ready to take them but that’s not what happened.”

“I feel very bad," Calle added. "For me it was like she was like a sister. I’m very sad, knowing she left this life with her two sons.”
