PEKANBARU - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) of Riau Province distributed 1.5 tons of rice to Pekanbaru City Government. This assistance will be continued by the Pekanbaru City Government for residents whose family economies are affected by the corona virus pandemic.

"I express my gratitude, both on behalf of the person and the head of the region, to the employees of Riau OJK who have voluntarily donated donations and alms. Then, the donations and alms that have been collected are bought as much as 1.5 tons of rice," said the Mayor Pekanbaru City Firdaus after receiving symbolic rice assistance in the Public Service Mall (MPP), on Friday (6/5/2020).

This assistance was handed over symbolically by the Head of OJK Riau Yusri. Acknowledgments were conveyed to the employees and leaders of OJK Riau.

"Thank you very much. This proves that the Indonesian nation is a nation that works together. When difficulties arise, the spirit of mutual cooperation will be seen," said Firdaus.

This rice aid will be distributed by the Pekanbaru governmen to the Food Reserves in every RW. Then, this assistance is distributed to communities whose family economies are affected by the corona virus pandemic.

"So, the assistance received from community groups, social organizations, individuals, and families, is channeled to special places. This food barn is a sustainable instrument. Not only at Covid-19 alone," said Firdaus
