Samsung and Kvadrat Presented An Eco-friendly Line of Accessories for Galaxy

News24xx.com - Samsung has released environmentally friendly accessories for the Galaxy S20 + and Galaxy Watch Active2. On the Samsung website, it is reported that the Danish textile brand Kvadrat participated in its creation.

The case for the Samsung Galaxy S20 + smartphone is made from recycled 500 ml plastic bottles. They were melted into textile fibers. The company estimates that one plastic bottle can be used to produce two cases for the Galaxy S20 +.

In addition, Samsung plans to release straps for the Galaxy Watch Active2. They will also be made from Kvadrat brand textiles and other environmentally friendly materials.
Among the major brands of the mobile industry, Samsung was the first to release a recycled material case for its flagship device.

In 2019, Samsung announced a partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). Thus, the corporation supports the Sustainable Development Goals aimed at solving the world's largest problems, including the fight against climate change.

Part of the proceeds from the sale of Samsung Global Goals edition Galaxy S20 + cases made of Kvadrat textiles will be transferred to UNDP in support of 17 global goals.

Having bought a case from this collection, Galaxy users can also install the Samsung Global Goals app to take part in an environmentally friendly initiative. Eco-friendly covers are available in several color options, and their cost is about 30 euros.
