Investigating the Origin Place of Coronavirus, WHO Team Prepares to Come to China


Corona test in Wuhan, ChinaCorona test in Wuhan, China - The World Health Organization (WHO) will send a team to China to investigate the origins of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) next week. China is the first place the Coronavirus is endemic.

WHO Director-General (Ted), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyersus stated that the Coronavirus outbreak began in China. This virus first became the epidemic in Wuhan in December 2019.

"We can fight the virus better when we know everything about the virus, including how the virus began," Tedros Adhanom said, as reported by Reuters on Tuesday (30 June 2020).

President of the United States (US) Donald Trump and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo both called the Coronavirus escaped from a laboratory in Wuhan, China - which was the initial location of the detection of this virus. However, there is no evidence to support Trump and Pompeo's statement. Chinese authorities have denied the allegations. Scientists call the Coronavirus naturally occurring.

However, Trump continues to repeatedly emphasize the origin of the virus from China, even calling it 'Kung Flu' in its two recent campaigns this month. The term used by Trump is called 'racist' by Asian-American groups.
