A 30-year-old man was allegedly abducted and tortured by his employer after a financial dispute in Delhi

News24xx.com - In a horrifying incident, a 30-year-old man was allegedly abducted and tortured by his employer after a financial dispute over his stay in Delhi on the company's expenses during the lockdown.

The incident reportedly took place between June 13 and June 14 after the victim allegedly used the company's money during his lockdown stay in Delhi. However, the FIR in the case was filed with Paud police station on July 2.

According to a report in the news agency PTI, the man was kidnapped by three men including his employer in Pune's Kothrud area in Maharashtra.

According to police, the victim works as a manager with a company that organizes painting exhibitions. A police officer said the man got stuck in Delhi due to coronavirus lockdown after he came to the city for an official engagement in March. After the lockdown, the man stayed in a lodge and used the money given to him by the company.

"As he returned to Pune on May 7, the victim's employer asked him to get quarantined in a hotel for 17 days. As he did not have money, he mortgaged his phone and debit card before checking out of the hotel," the report quoted the police officer as saying.

On June 13, the firm's owner demanded money the man spent during his stay in Delhi. Later, he was bundled into a car and taken to the company office.

"The man was kept hostage at the company office. Later, the company owner and his two aides thrashed him and sprayed sanitizer on his genitals," the officer said.

The victim got himself admitted to a private hospital after he was released by his captors. He then filed an FIR against the accused.

Police said they are probing the case; so far, no arrest has been made.
