News24xx.com - Recent studies have shown that people without symptoms (OTG) or silent spreaders are the cause of the ongoing Corona COVID-19 virus pandemic. Based on studies in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, found transmission through OTG or people who have not shown symptoms are the main cause of the spread of this virus.

The number of asymptomatic people found ranged from 17.9 to 30.8 percent of all patients. Of the estimated OTG of 17.9 percent, it is likely to cause transmission by 48 percent. While those who have not shown symptoms, only 3.4 percent.

Quoting from CNN International, from the transmission model the researchers assume that COVID-19 can be very contagious when in the presymptomatic stage or spread without symptoms of OTG. In fact, researchers say the isolation carried out in all symptomatic cases will not be enough to control this spread.

To stop transmission until it is below 1 percent of the population, this study recommends identifying more than one-third of COVID-19 infections in OTG. Not only that, massive testing and contact tracing to find new cases can also be done to reduce the increase in this outbreak.
