Abrasion, 10 Houses of Indragiri Hilir Residents Collapsed into the River

News24xx.com - The natural disaster abrasion (landslide) occurred in Betuah Village, RT 03 RW 01 Kelurahan Seberang Tembilahan, Tembilahan District, Inhil, on Friday 10 July 2020.

The incident that occurred at around 15:30 West Indonesia Time caused 10 residents' homes to be severely damaged and some even were washed away.

In addition to the 10 houses, the landslide also caused 5 other families to be affected and a crossing pier was also cut off.

Landslides make the land bank disappear more or less along 30 meters from the river bank.

Tembilahan Sector Police Chief, Police Inspector One Leo Putra Dirgantara said when confirmed that there were no fatalities, but the loss was estimated to be around 500 million rupiah and 58 people were affected by damaged houses.

"The chronology of the incident at that time, Anjas (witness) left the house to go to Tembilahan, while at the port of Seberang Tembilahan he saw the house near the port suddenly collapsed, immediately Anjas immediately shouted for help," said Police Inspector One Leo .

Seeing this incident the people who were near the harbor immediately went hand in hand to help save goods from inside the house.

"There were no fatalities in the incident and currently the incident has been handled by the Indragiri Hilir resort police," he explained.

As for those involved in handling landslides, the Indonesian National Army - the Indonesian National Police, the National Search and Rescue Agency and the Regional Disaster Management Agency and the local community.
